Klaus P Kobald GmbH emerged from the recording studio Klaus Kobald, originally founded in 1996. Before that, from 1991 to 1996, Klaus Kobald worked successfully at TIC Music Studio in Vienna’s 7th district (Schottenfeldgasse), where he gained valuable experience. The Klaus Kobald Studio, located in Vienna’s Burggasse 79, was run together with his then-wife and business partner Claudia Mahr, focusing primarily on commercial jingle and advertising production.
In the year 2000, software development was added as a new and forward-looking area of activity. This development was supported by Klaus Kobald’s long-standing interest in programming — a field he had explored independently since his youth, gaining foundational knowledge at the Technical University and continuously expanding his expertise in emerging technologies. In 2004, Klaus Kobald became co-founder and system developer of myphotobook GmbH and epubli GmbH in Berlin.
Between 2000 and 2013, the focus lay mainly on software development for large printing companies, supported by an in-house programming team. After that period, the desire for more creative freedom and innovation through independent projects grew. Together with his long-time partner and commercial manager Claudia Mahr, Klaus Kobald founded sfinx-it GmbH, a company driven by innovation and expansion. Today, Klaus P Kobald GmbH continues this spirit, collaborating exclusively with specialized partner companies to ensure the flexibility required in modern creative and technological projects.
